Q: Is NCD transferrable between different persons?
A: Not allowed. It is only allowed for the spouse within the same insurer.

 

Q: Can I transfer the NCD on my van to my car?
A: NCD earned on the car insurance can only be transferred to another car. The same applies on commercial vehicles and motorcycles.

 

 

Q: Do you insure modified vehicles?
A: Any modifications done to the vehicle in respect of bodywork or engine needs to be declared. We will not pay for undeclared after-market modifications. Additional premium may be charged.

 

 

Q: What is the meaning of excess?
A: For example, if your policy carries an excess of $600 (Section 1), you need to bear the first $600 of your repair cost. Example total own repair cost = $3000, you will bear $600, the insurer pays $2400.

 

 

Q: Do I get a further discount if I have the Certificate of Merit (COM) from the Traffic Police?
A: We are pleased to inform that so long as your NCD = 30% or more , we will grant the additional 5% automatically, without the need to furnish the COM.

 

 

Q: Do I get a discount if only I am the only driver?
A: We are pleased to give a further 10% if driving is restricted to Insured only. The discount is 7.5% if driving is restricted to Insured and 1 named driver only. Drivers must be between 40 and 69 years with minimum 2 years’ driving experience. Please inform your agent if you wish to take up this.

 

 

Q: Can I send my car to the Dealer workshop?
A: You can opt for this by choosing our Comprehensive-Standard Plan. Alternatively, you can get a lower premium if you choose to have your car repaired by Liberty’s authorized workshops.

 

 

Q: Do you take foreign driving experience into consideration?
A: Please contact us with details, such as country and number of years driving. We may require you furnish written evidence if we quote.

 

 

Q: Can I pay by instalments?
A: We offer instalments up to 12 months for payment by Citibank credit cards (S’pore issued) via MasterCard/VISA modes.
